Our behind-the-scenes tour of the Thoroughbred Center offers an exclusive look at the training and stabling of Thoroughbred race horses. Encompassing over 230 acres of prime Kentucky Bluegrass in the heart of horse county, this unique facility has much to offer both racing fans and horse lovers. During the morning tours, you can share in the constant activity of horses on the training track and follow their return to the barns where they are stabled.
As you observe the morning workouts rail-side at the training track, you can likely share a conversation with an outrider or exercise rider. And as you move to the backside, you'll see the schooling gate where horses learn to how to start a race. Then visit the various barns where horses spend the balance of their days under the watchful care of their trainers and and unsung heroes like the grooms, hot walkers and farriers who manage the many aspects of their daily routine.
With nearly 1000 horses on the grounds, you can expect every day and every tour to be an individual experience filled with wonder and surprise. Make your reservations now to enjoy this seldom seen, but always appreciated, side of the racing industry. All tour attendees will receive a complimentary gift.
