The 2023 Secretariat Festival is proud to add Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Facility to our Farm Tour roster for Sunday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 p.m. The tour will be personally hosted by Old Friends founder Michael Blowen.
Old Friends, the non-profit thoroughbred retirement center founded in 2003 is a "living history museum" of horse racing. Meet some of America's famous retired stallions including the oldest living Kentucky Derby winner Silver Charm; beloved handicap champion Lava Man; Groundshaker, the last horse owned and raced by Penny Chenery's Meadow Stable; and 2011 Secretariat "Vox Populi" Award winner Rapid Redux, among the other treasured horses at this equine haven.
PLEASE NOTE: TOUR TICKETS WILL NOT BE MAILED. This will be an individual party tour with attendees providing their own transportation to the farm located at 1841 Paynes Depot Road in Georgetown.
