Click to enlargeThe Belmont - 31 Length Victory

This photograph taken by the late Bob Coglianese is the defining image of Secretariat putting the exclamation point over his distant challengers to win the 1973 Belmont Stakes. The photo captures the dramatic moment when jockey Ron Turcotte looks over his shoulder at the electronic timer, just prior to Secretariat's record breaking 31-length victory to sweep the Triple Crown. Unlike imitations and second-generation copies, this authentic photo is produced from the original negative in the photographer's personal collection. Also available hand-signed by Mr. Turcotte. B/W

Belmont Stakes - Coglianese FolioBelmont Stakes - Coglianese FolioThis similar pair of photos features the back-to-back Meadow Stable victories in the 1972 and 1973 Belmont Stakes as captured by famed New York Racing Association track photographer Bob Coglianese. The 1973 image features the iconic black and white stretch photo of Secretariat's 31-length win with jockey Ron Turcotte aboard as he looks over his shoulder at the official track timer to confirm their track record time in the third jewel of the Triple Crown.

The seldom seen 1972 photo captures Riva Ridge with Turcotte aboard winning the Belmont from the similar vantage point along the inner rail a year earlier. The dominant 7-length victory underscored the talent of the Meadow homebred who won 2/3 of the Triple Crown by virtue of his victory in the Kentucky Derby earlier in the racing season.

Photographs measure 8" x 10" and are printed on fine archival photo stock. Dually displayed in a black parchment folio display and adorned with a Secretariat Meadow Stable lapel pin. One or both photos in set available with the option of being hand-signed by Mr. Turcotte.
