Few photos capture the essence of the Secretariat legacy better than this photo of the charismatic colt and the pride and joy he brought to the Meadow Stable team.

The New York Racing Association Photo was taken at Belmont Park immediately following Secretariat's victory in the Oct. 8, 1973 Man o' War Stakes. The race marked Big Red's first venture racing on grass against a crackerjack field of accomplished older seasoned stakes horses. Not only did Secretariat win the race, he established a new course record in the process, once again confirming both his versatility and greatness.

The photo shows Secretariat's owner Penny Chenery triumphantly leading Secretariat with jockey Ron Turcotte aboard to the winners circle, while the adoring grandstand crowd tries to steal a glimpse of their chestnut champion. Just behind the trio, Secretariat's trusted groom Eddie Sweat along with Penny's husband Jack Tweedy share in the winner's walk.

The crisp color photo is available in 8" x 10" sizing with the collectible option of being hand-signed by Mr. Turcotte. Larger sizing available upon special request. Order yours now!
