In conjunction with the 2023 Secretariat Festival we are proud to offer this special expanded tour of historic Claiborne Farm -- one of America's most prominent horse breeding properties where the great champion lived out his days following his legendary racing career.
This special expanded farm tour offers a visit to the gravesite of the 1973 Triple Crown champion along with viewings of the breeding barn where Secretariat and many other famed champions were conceived, and to his revered stall in the famed stallion barn.
The heralded stallion barn now hosts the internationally accomplished War Front, champions Blame and Runhappy, and promising young sires Catholic Boy and War of Will, among others.
This year's Secretariat Festival Claiborne Tour includes a rare visit to Claiborne's rarely seen Marchmont cemetery which recently made the news as the final resting spot for the great filly Ruffian. Other racing greats residing in the cemetery include: Ack Ack, Conquistador Cielo, Damascus, Easy Goer, Moccasin, Personal Ensign, Unbridled and many more Thoroughbred luminaries.
This special motor coach tour of the farm's historic property begins at 12:30 p.m. All Claiborne Farm Tour participants will receive a complimentary Secretariat gift as a keepsake of their visit.
This Claiborne Farm Tour is currently sold-out. However, should cancelations occur, additional tickets may be available for purchase on the day of the event at the Secretariat Festival Headquarters located at 570 Main St.
PLEASE NOTE: TOUR TICKETS WILL NOT BE MAILED. Tour-goers can catch the complimentary shuttle bus departing from downtown Paris at approximately 12:15 p.m., or may proceed directly to the farm located at 703 Winchester Road via their own transportation.
